The PL54E takes our most popular basket size — 500mm — and adds a built-in water softener. One machine, one installation, no separate softener unit under the counter.
For anyone in a hard water area (and if you’re in the East Midlands, that’s you), this is the hassle-free option. The softener protects the heating elements from limescale, which means longer machine life, lower energy bills, and cleaner glasses. It pays for itself.
Runs off a standard 13A plug. If you need more power, the PL56E is the 30A equivalent. If you also need a brake tank for water pressure issues, step up to the SMP54E or SMP56E.
